Mangalore/Mysore, Mar 22: BJP candidate from Mysore-Kodagu constituency journalist-turned-politician Pratap Simha has been accused by the district Congress of making provocative comments and thereby violating the model code of conduct.
As per sources, speaking to mediapersons during his visit to Suttur Math, Pratap Simha launched an attack against the Congress alleging that the party seemed to be 'loyal to Pakistan and not to India'.

Speaking to daijiworld over the phone after the Mysore district Congress filed a complaint against him claiming that Simha's comments were incendiary in nature, he said, “My statement was with regard to the Indian Army as it lost its soldiers when Pakistan army violated the cease fire agreement."
"I questioned the Congress government's silence even as Pakistan army beheaded two Indian Soldiers," he added.
"I suggested that the Congress-led UPA which is in power could have sent the Indian Army to behead the soldiers of Pakistan to avenge our soldiers' deaths. Instead the government kept mum taking no stringent action to display the country's power," he said.
"How could this be a provocative statement?" he questioned. "I have not hurt the sentiments of any people of the country or even of Mysore. I just expressed my anger against the Congress party over the beheading of our soldiers."
Terming the move by the district Congress as 'amusing', Simha asked, "Is the Congress party loyal to India or to Pakistan? The complaint lodged based on my statement makes me wonder. Though I have not targeted any community, the Congress in the district has filed a complaint saying my statements are provocative."
He further asserted that he is loyal to the country and he has expressed his anger before the public in a matured manner.
