Mangalore, Mar 22: A woman was found dead at her house in Gujjarkere here on Saturday March 22. It is suspected to be a case of suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Soumya (25), wife of Kiran. They are said to be from Andhra Pradesh.

As she was found charred to death, it is suspected that she might have committed suicide, said police sources.

Soon after the incident, Pandeshwar police arrived at the spot and after initial investigation, took her husband for questioning.

The couple have a five-year-old son.

It is said that Kiran works for a software company in Bangalore. Last night he had called a neighbour over the phone and asked her to take away his child from the mother as the latter was not well, said a police source.

However, Kiran told daijiworld that he had tried calling his wife several times at night but she did not respond. A neighbour who heard the child crying came to the house and took him away, he said. Asked if there were any family disputes, he replied in the negative and said theirs was a love marriage.

On Saturday morning, when Kiran came from Bangalore, he found his wife burnt to death, and immediately he poured water on her.

The child is presently under the care of a neighbour.

Further investigations are on.

Very sad. A small child is now motherless whoever or whatever the cause is.Looks bit strange is that as the Person called neighbor, Lady to take away child and she took away ,naturally she must have seen or find out where the mother is. Second, he told Police that mother is not well.how he can tell so if he didnt reach her on phone?Police should find out really he was in Bangalore or had come stayed away for calling to give wrong Alibi.he poured water on her? next day as he reached?looks not very much affected with Happening.May be I am wrong.nobody could find or make out that she got fire?mystery and questions to a child to be explained later.so Young and so early is her death.may her Soul rest in peace.

Why our people becoming so much cruel? Whatever may be the circumstances due to family feud but burning a human alive means this person crossed all the limits. May be we have to pray with GOD to rest his soul in peace instead of this poor lady. I hope that our Police Department put forward this case in “Fast Track Court” so that this person should get his punishment immediately
