Bahrain, Mar 20 : Scintillating music and rib-tickling humour will be the highlight of a mega Tulu entertainment and cultural event, the first of its kind in Bahrain, to be staged on April 4.
The “Tulu Parba 2014” (Tulu Festival 2014), will be presented by the Indian Club Bahrain in association with Kaleidoscope Enterprises SPC and Namma Kannada Bahrain.
The three-hour show will bring on stage well-known singers, dancers, stand-up comedians and entertainers.
Tulu is a language spoken in the southern Indian states of Karnataka and Kerala.
Award-winning music director and playback singer from Karnataka, Gurukiran will take the audience on a musical journey. New generation's heart-throb "Dance India Dance" fame Kishore Aman will also perform on the occasion.
Gurukiran, who has visited Bahrain many times is very popular among the Tulu and Kannada communities in Bahrain.
The event will also feature the comedy team “Prashamsa”, which is the winner of "Bale Telipaale" and "Kudala Telepule", two popular TV comedy reality shows.
The group is being brought by Namma TV managing director Dr Shiv Sharan as the part of their Gulf Tour. Namma TV is the largest TV channel of coastal Karnataka.
The event will also include dance performances by C N Creations, a talented dance group of Bahrain, choreographed by Chandrakala Mohan and Namitha Salian.
The event will be held at Indian Club Open Air auditorium. Entry is free for the event which will start at 6 pm.
As the organizers would like to start the programme in time, all are requested to be in the venue well in advance.
