Rukmayya Poojary to lead BJP campaign in DK district

Mangalore, Mar 19: "Dakshina Kannada BJP has appointed former MLA Rukmayya Poojary as the campaign committee president for the Lok Sabha elections in the district. This committee has also included former MLAs’, BJP candidates who contested in previous elections” said MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik.
 
He was addressing a press meet here at the district BJP office on Thursday March 19.

“The BJP Lok Sabha election campaign office inauguration at Bunts Hostel will be held at 10:30am on March 20. Former chief minister Jagadish Shettar preside over the inaugural. At around 11:15 BJP MP Candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel will file his nomination. BJP will file these nomination without any procession or vehicles rally’’ he added.
 
BJP also appointed Umanath Kotian as the additional spokesperson of BJP.
 
During a reply to a reporter Karnik also said that BJP has brought to the notice of election commission that Congress MP candidate is seeking votes by appeasing the community and promising reservation. This is a violation of the election code of conduct.

"Secondly, Congress leaders are now involved in calling Nalin Kumar Kateel as Nalin Kumar Shetty hence polarizing the votes on the lines of caste," he added.
 
Kishore Rai, Shantha R, Diwakar Samani, Sathish Prabhu and others were present during the press meet.

    its loksaba election.. itsbtime to make money.. so all old party leaders given assurance of money .. so y not any old leaders join with the party ..who cares.. what happnd in past.. just lokk at the future... namoo namoo.. brigade..
