Mangalore, Mar 17: A cultural fest ‘Incident’ was held at NITK Suratkal from March 5 to March 9.
The fest is annually organised at the national level with colleges from across India. It is one of the second biggest cultural fests in South India.
The band ‘Pure Vegetarian’ from Mangalore won the second place in the eastern battle of bands ‘Bandish’ held on March 5.

The band ‘Pure Vegetarian’ band mesmerized the crowd. Sweethin on the saxophone solo and the band were able to cover songs from Kailash Kher, Raghu Dixit and Benny Dayal.
The band ‘Thermal Shock Wave’ from Mangalore won the first place in western rock music competition ‘Pulse’ held on March 8.

‘Pure Vegetarian’ also won the second place in western unplugged as well as first place at the Eastern unplugged competition which was held on March 9.
