Panaji, March 15 (IANS): Narendra Modi does not have a magic-wand and will take time to correct the ills triggered by "ten years of misrule" by the UPA government, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said Friday.
The chief minister was speaking at a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) students convention here.
"Modi does not have a magic wand. For things to change, it will take time," Parrikar said, expressing confidence that the Modi-led BJP would win nearly 220-230 seats on its own in the Lok Sabha election.
"For one of those huge oil tankers carrying three to four lakh tonnes of oil to stop, the vessel has to reverse at full throttle. Even then the tanker travels 80-90 km before it stops," Parrikar said while giving an example to justify why Modi would need time to set things right.
He said that with Modi at the helm, a cool breeze would finally begin to blow.
