Media is sold out on Narendra Modi, will jail them: Arvind Kejriwal

Nagpur, Mar 14 (Agencies): Arvind Kejriwal has once again launched a scathing attack on media, saying that they have been paid “heavy amount” to promote Narendra Modi. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief said he will send media to jail when his party comes to power.

Speaking at a fund-raising event last evening, Kejriwal said, “For the last one year our minds have been filled with Modi, Modi...Modi and some TV channels have been saying that corruption has ended, Ram Rajya has come, this has happened, that has happened; why? Because money has been paid, TV channels have been paid a heavy amount to promote Modi.”

“800 farmers have committed suicide in Gujarat in the last 10 years, this no one will tell; Adani has been sold land at Rs 1, this no channel will tell. Arvind has taken security, he has not taken security, has taken Z category, Y category, arre bhaad main gayi teri security, they will not reveal the truth about Modi,” Kejriwal said.

Threatening action against the media, he said, “This time, the whole media has sold itself, it is a big conspiracy. If we ever form the government, we will probe this and everybody, including media personnel, would be sent to jail.”

Kejriwal later denied having made statements against the media.

It is not the first time that Kejriwal has levelled serious charges against the media without any proof. The AAP has been crying foul whenever the media questioned it but the party chose to brush aside the expose on Kejirwal fixing contents of an interview with a journalist as a non-event.

Kejriwal's fund-raising event at a five-star hotel in the city was also not without controversies. Some Nagpurians said that those who paid Rs 10,000 to dine with Kejriwal should have donated that money to widows in Vidarbha's suicide belt.

    WHY My support for AAP:
1)so many road accidents, deaths. No public safety. Reason?
2)horrible hygienic conditions in Govt and also pvt hospitals. Nobody to monitor standards of care. All are busy making money.
3)no improvement in ground water resource even though there is plenty of rain.
4)dirty markets, bus stands, railway stations. No Gloves and boots for workers.
5)Unrealistic real estate prices, nexus between politicians and builders. Is it not possible to stop black money in real estate transactions? Can't we implement a unique ID system?
6)look at the railways in Mumbai. People travel dangerously, overcrowded, prone to accidents and tuberculosis(TB).
7)No basic infrastructure in Govt schools and hospitals.
8)no one is accountable when accidents happen, law and order breaks, someone is destroying public property or urinating, defacing, parking or occupying the footpath. Is it the responsibility of the common man to take action by his own or is there a authority?
9)Income of politicians of last 15yrs?
10)No population control policy. It is well known, families living in crowded slums, chawls and tiny room without privacy are likely to procreate resulting in innumerable unplanned and unwanted pregnancies.
Poor people have more children than rich.Do we have housing policy? Do we have gynecologists visiting rural centres at least once a month to advise on family planning?
11)see the housing and living conditions of policemen and soldiers.
12)is there monitoring of minimum wages for labourers in construction, hotels and domestic helps?
13)so many youngsters from poor families- out from schools and colleges come to the cities in search of jobs, not able to find even a temporary place to dwell-become mental, succumb to tb, malaria and dengue.
13)what is more serious? Catching a poor man receiving a small bribe or high level of siphoning of public money?
Mr Arvind Kejriwal has promised American and European standard of democracy for us.Everyone will appreciate it.Jai Ho AK

The media should feel guilty if they have done anything wrong. Kejriwal has said that if found guilty, they will be questioned? So the question is is the media guilty? Looks like because it has made Modi appear a larger than life picture. Why aren't the suicide of farmers highlighted? Why isn't Adani's growth in Gujarat highlighted? Why isn't corruption in Gujarat highlighted by the media? Why isn't malnutrition of the children highlighted? The answer is that certain sections of the Media are completely purchased by the politicians. Such sections are definitely going to raise hue and cry about Kejriwal's comment. Also, we have people like Kiran Bedi carrying the baggage of BJP. A crusader who was in the fight for India against corruption. What an irony!
I also appreciate the comments by Bulsam, truly a lot of study has been done.

Now both BJP and Cong are teaming up together (when confronting Kejriwal) and trying to attack on each and every act and statement of Kejriwal and the actions of his parties, this clearly shows their anxiety and desperation over the ever increasing popularity of this man, which they never expected would rise so suddenly as a phoenix!! Both the old parties being seasoned in politics and having immeasurable money power at their discretion are using all the tools in their armamentarium to bring down Kejriwal and put pressure on him!! This very act of nonstop accusations and finding faults in AAP shows how desperate they have become!! In the given circumstances, the polity (the AAM aadmi) should think logically and decide who is good and who is bad!! An excellent opportunity to give a chance to a party with a new ideology, a party of intellectuals to rule at least once before disposing them off w/o giving them a chance which is what the common might of the opposition is trying its best to do!! HOW TO FIND OUT PAID MEDIAS... HERE IS THE ANSWER..
    1. All major news channels are paid medias, so how they can survive. AAP is national party, but paid media never shows AAP in the opinion list.
    2. They accuse AAP for silly reasons, like Mumbai property damage. In Mumbai at least 2 or 3 strikes happens every year and damage happens. Why these things not appearing in the news channels? Why only AAP??

But one truth, CONG/BJP has Billionaire sponsor, they can do anything, edited videos, photographs, voice, etc...They bribed selfish AAP members and turned against AAP also. But AAP does not want, the way CONG/BJP doing. The AAP does not need any sponsors. SATYA MEWA JAYATE

Adani has, over the years, leased 7350 hectares–much of which he got from 2005 onward–from the government in an area called Mundra in the Gulf of Kutch in Gujarat. FORBES ASIA has copies of the agreements that show he got the 30-year, renewable leases for as little as one U.S. cent a square meter (the rate maxed out at 45 cents a square meter). He in turn has sublet this land to other companies, including state-owned Indian Oil Co., for as much as $11 a square meter. Between 2005 and 2007 at least 1,200 hectares of grazing land was taken away from the villagers. Under Indian law, land meant for grazing cattle can be used for something else only if it’s in excess. On that cheap land Adani has built his cash cow–the country’s largest private port by volume–as well as a 4,620-megawatt coal-fired power plant. Miles of smooth roads, occasionally lined with pink, orange and white bougainvillea and kept clean by sweeping machines, let you zip around the massive city within a city that is Adani’s special economic zone. The idea is to have export-focused companies set up their factories in the SEZ, close to the Adani port.
The Adani Group established in 1988 and became publicly traded in 1994. But its real rise happened under Modi’s reign in Gujarat. From 2002 to last March the group’s revenue rose from $765 million to $8.8 billion, while net profits climbed even faster.
Spend time around the villages of Kutch and a vastly different picture appears. This region was famous for its crops of Sapodilla, as well as dates, coconuts and castor. Area farmers say that that’s no longer the case. Fly ash and saline water from Adani Power and a nearby Tata Power Co. Ltd. plant is spoiling the crops and making the soil less fertile. Traversing a couple of nearby barren fields, farmers had been growing alternately cotton, millet and castor there. Now patches of white salt are easily visible across stretches of the fields and have become a common sight across farms.
    This is Gujarat shining!

For the last sixty odd years India was ruled in this fashion and looted the public. This knot has grown very big and very hard. Around 40% people live below the poverty line. The development of infrastructure is completely in the hands of the public sector and was plagued by corruption, bureaucratic inefficiencies, urban-bias and an inability to scale investment. Around 20 percent of India’s population is malnourished, and 43 percent of children under 5 are underweight. These numbers have changed little despite the impressive economic growth of the last two decades, with neighbors Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal doing better than India in the 2012 Global Hunger Index.
We the Aam Aadmi have the choice whether to allow those old order dirty politicians, industrialists, bureaucrats and the paid media exploit those 85% poor classes and 60% youth of India to be the plunderers, society breakers and bigger rich-poor gap makers.
Will India’s political parties fight corruption as a nonpartisan matter? Will the rising middle class throw out the corrupt? Will the wealthy systematically embrace philanthropy? To prove that this will not happen is these statistics.
The difference in growth rate between the forward and backward region was 0.3% during 1980 to 1991, but had widened to 3.3% during 1990 to 1998. Here is an eye opener about the diesel subsidies — which cost India an estimated $18 billion (More than one lakh Crore rupees) — illustrate the elite’s capture of subsidies and its consequences. Much of the subsidies benefit big industries and the so-called middle class, who use the fuel to run their cars and power generators.
The voting power is in your hand. If you want a young, dynamic, honest and vibrant new order the power is in your hands. Vote for the bright future of the GenNext and not for the bright future of the greedy industrialists, dirty politicians and corrupt bureaucrats.
The choice is yours! Jai Hind!!

    Right said. Lage raho Kejru.

Whoever saying AAP has failed in Delhi are totally naïve. What they have achieved in 49 days, no other party can even come close to it. Secondly, AAP was given mandate for 5 years and not for just 5 months, but ConBJP were so much in a hurry for results as if the world was coming to an end. BJP came to power in 4 other states at the same time as AAP. But they have not even finished celebrating yet. Nobody remembers them also, but people are questioning only AAP.

But all this criticism is good so that a new party could learn the nuances of politics much faster to withstand the pressures rather than buckle under it. The party has emerged stronger, more people are joining in and I am watching more and more funds are flowing in since the day AAP has resigned from Delhi scene.

Regarding running away from Delhi, no it is not true. They need majority support, not ‘conditionally unconditional’ support which corrupt Congress offered in partnership with BJP just to tie AAP down to Delhi so that they would remain embroiled in Delhi. But AAP understood this game plan of both these parties and timely came out without causing any damage to their reputation. They knew ConBJP would never support Jan Lokpal.

And yes, there are so many hiccups. But you cannot compare AAP with Ambani / Adani managed ConBJP with several decades of experience in manipulating Indian politics and looting general public. Just watch the Mangalore roads and infrastructure and you will understand. We Mangies are supposed to be the most intelligent / educated / enterprising people in India and still our roads are of the Jurassic era. Nowhere in India, but in Mangalore, there is a dangerous moral policing whether during BJP or Congress. Does it not show BJP and Congress are same in their ideology and working style?

Surely, let us hope Mr. MRV will win and will lower at least the prevalent corruption, communalism and do some real development without profiteering by the politicians in

I fully stand by Kejriwal. Media made a hue and cry about Kejriwal's Mumbai visit voicing vocally the traffic jam and destruction of metal detector, etc. Does anyone recollect the kind of damage to Public & Private property, traffic jams that congress, bjp, mns, shiv sena etc have done in the whole country. When the media gets threatened the public is questioned, but when the media itself blackmails and threatens the public we have to accept it as it is freedom of speech. Take the case of Jindal bribery where Zee news utives were involved. Media has never published any of AAP public rallies, but of Congress and BJP it has been published for hours together. Raga did only 1 interview and has escaped, modi does not have the guts to face the media as he has lots of fear in him as he is contesting from 2 places and his chai per charcha has been a total failure.

The only man who faced the media and answered all questions profusely and at ease was arvind kejriwal. AK is the person who went to the people in Gujarat and got to know the ground reality and that is why BJP and Media are feeling the pinch so much that time has come to pull AK down. The people of this country are interested to know what the political parties can offer to the common man. There is nothing they have offered for 65 years, which has got this country from bad to worse, but we see hope in AAP after the 49 day rule. This country has got very very good people to elect and send to assembly and parliament and time we do that. We don't want a father, mother and children, uncle's and aunties, daughters in law and sons in law and grandchildren (dynasty) to be in the parliament and assembly. This is the chance for people of India and if not suffer for next 5 years. The time is right to bring change now or never.

THIS KEJRIWALA TO BE COMPARE TO THE CINE CRITICS !!!! HE DON'T HAVE LEADERSHIP SKILLS AT ALL !!! WITHOUT ORGANIZING THE TEAM ALL OVER INDIA, HE IS JUST TAKING AND TALKING FOR THE PUBLICITY FOR NOTHING AND HE DON'T HAVE ANY CONTROL ON HIS TEAM !! END OF THE DAY HE WILL NOT GOING TO BE REACH HIS MOTIVES !!! TO CRITICIZE FROM OUT SIDE ITS EASY BUT TO PLAY IN THE GROUND ITS VERY DIFFICULT.

THE EACH AND EVERY CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY HIMSELF IS A CORRUPTED THEN HOW YOU ARE GOING TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM !! CHANGE TO BE BRING WITHIN THE COMMON MAN FIRST THEN THE WHOLE COUNTRY WILL BE REFORMED. CLEAN YOUR HOME FIRST GUYS !!!
