Dubai, June 4: With rising costs and prices of every thing especially in this part of the world, stress, tension, illhealth and medical problems too rise alongside. In wanting to help the lower income group for whom medical attention is becoming out of reach, the Emirates Paradela Foundation organised a Free medical camp for over 25 men and 25 women at the Get well medical centre on Bank Street in Dubai on the 2nd of June, 2005.

Claude Pinto President of Emirates Paradela who spearheaded this Camp felt a sense of elation to have undertaken this noble task of reaching out to the less fortunate. Every member of Emirates Paradela were engrossed in assiting the clinic staff in the arrangements for the medical check up.
Anita Lobo and Marina Pinto were instrumental in the registration and preliminary tests. Urban Sequeira, Arun D'Souza, Harry Lobo, Cedric and the others made sure the patients had all their tests done and were given a breakfast packet before they left.
Dr. Ashok and Dr. Sarita Kapoor assisted by their team of medical attendants of Getwell Clinic - are really to be appreciated and admired for their sense of dedication and commitment to the poor. Inspite being a day of rest for them, it is with their support and cooperation extended to the Emirates Paradela team that the camp was a success.
Most of the men were factory workers and were suffering from heart problems for which the echogram and ECG tests too were done absolutely free. Women mostly who are working as house maids complete of weakness and emotional problems - and were checked and counselled by Dr. Sarita Kapoor.
Team members from all over the emirates, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai actively participated in the camp and now plan to conduct these on a regular periodical basis.
