Bangalore, Mar 11 : Hatrick hero, sandalwood star and son of late legend Dr Rajkumar, Shivraj Kaumar clarifying his stand on his wife Geetha's (Former CM late Bangarappa's daughter) interests to pitch her political career from Shimoga said on Tuesday that he has no objection for his wife to contest in Lok Sabha elections from the constituency which gave bitter results earlier for the Bangarappa family.
The entire family would accompany Geetha in her dream to contest from JDS in the elections. If required, he would participate in the election campaign vociferously with his wife to strengthen the battle field, he said,

She is competing against a strong BJP candidate and former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa from Shimoga. However in 2008, from Shikaripura assembly constituency, her father Bangarappa was defeated by the same BJP leader.
Even in the parliament elections yet again Bangarappa was decimated by Yeddi's son, B Y Raghavendra from Shimoga constituency.
Currently there is a general opinion that, Geeta Shivraj Kumar is readying herself to contest to throw back her revenge against BSY family as against to all the odds faced in the last defeats.
Alongside, for the first time a member of Raj family is stepping in to the arena of politics with 2014 general elections. This would further add glamour to the constituency in the forthcoming elections.
However Congress party is in its search for a candidate to field a prominent candidate. It is known that party is trying to convince speaker Kagodu Timmappa to wage a political war. But Timmapa has expressed his disapproval to remain in the fray.
Carefully watching all the political development in Shimoga, Kumar Bangarappa is reportedly lobbying for the ticket. According to the Congress calculation Kumar Bangarappa as candidate may ease the way for former CM to open the doors of parliament. This insisted the party to woo Timmappa. With his reluctance to hold the ticket party congress has already found senior party worker Manjunath as an alternative candidate.
