Israeli, German held with drugs in Goa


Panaji, March 6 (IANS): An Israeli and a German national were arrested Thursday in two separate incidents for possession of synthetic drugs near Chapora, a village in Goa infamous for drug trade, police said.

Police said Israeli national Menashe Sasson, 28, was arrested for trying to peddle 6.3 gm of LSP paper worth Rs.1.25 million near Chapora, 20 km from here, in a raid carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Cell.

German national Hans Jochim Nikolai was arrested with 51 gm of Esctacy worth Rs.5.1 lakh from the same village.

"Both have been arrested and will be produced for remand later Thursday," a police official said.
