Kasargod, March 3: Newly appointed KPCC president V M Sudheeran has said that groups will not be tolerated in the party. Speaking after inaugurating a conference of district congress workers at Cherkala, he said that those who indulge in groupings will be sent home.
Groups affect the party and make it difficult to listen to the problems of the people and solve them. Some are trying to gain power and positions in the party. Sincere workers who work in the party get deserted. Party workers become responsible for the failure of the party. The party needs those who solve the problems of party workers and the people, he said.
District president advocate C K Sridharan presided over the programme. KPCC vice president V D Satheeshan, secretary K P Unnikrishnan, T Siddik, Satheeshan Pacheni, Tanjangad Balakrishnan and advocate Subbayya Rai were present.
In the meeting held in the press club, Sudheendran spoke of shortcomings in solving the problems of endosulfan victims. He said that he will be speaking to the government in that regard. He said communities should not try to control political parties and all the communities are equal for the party.
