Gulbarga: Congress will be wiped out in polls for its 'sins': Narendra Modi

Gulbarga, Feb 28 (PTI): Sharpening his attack against Congress, Narendra Modi on Friday said an anti-Congress storm was brewing in the country and it would intensify into a ‘tsunami’ which the party would not be able to survive in the Lok Sabha elections.

“Elections have not been announced yet but there is already a storm brewing (against Congress). Once the elections are announced the storm will become a tsunami and Congress won’t be able to survive it,” the BJP’s  Prime Ministerial candidate said while addressing a public rally here.

Modi said Congress was going to be wiped out because of “its sins” and people had realised that it was the root cause of their troubles.

“People of the country have understood that the reason for their troubles is the Congress party. For the poor, youth and farmers, the most important thing is to uproot the Congress,” he said.

Referring to eminent jurist Fali Nariman’s refusal to be part of Lokpal search committee, the Gujarat Chief Minister said this was a proof of Congress’ ‘corrupt’ politics.

Dwelling on the Telangana issue, he accused the Congress of playing politics of divide and rule and said that Congress erred in leaving Seemandhra to fend for themselves, knowing the party would not get any thing from the region.

“They make people fight, while they enjoy themselves in Delhi. They break the country, they break states, they break hearts,” he said.

“Seemandhra is also a part of India, but the government at the Centre has orphaned it,” Modi said adding “We want both Telangana and Seemandhra to thrive but Congress is a doctor that believes in killing the mother while delivering a child.”

He also said Telangana had been created because of the sacrifices of hundreds of people, not because of Congress.

Stating that the Congress’ arrogance was at its zenith and it had failed to honour the poll promises, he urged people not to trust the party and their leaders’ intent.

“Don’t trust promises made by the Congress, their leaders and their intent. They had promised to curb inflation in 100 days, but did they live up to their promises? Don’t trust those who betray public trust,” he said.

Congress has created problems in the Country which are irreparable, they have created problems which are beyond anybody's imagination. Every day people fight, killing, rapes, corruption, price rise, deteriorating economy, internal security, uneducated poor people, illegal Bangladeshis / Pakistanis living , encroaching properties of resident Indians by force, especially in Assam & North East & at many more places in our country etc..etc.. Those are the clear example of Congress misrule from past 60 years. If you want your next generation, kids to suffer badly, kindly vote for Congress or if you like your next generation, your kids prosper / enjoy life kindly rethink & vote for the party which can give you development, internal security etc.

Bollu Mangalore-There is no BJP or Modi wave in India. It is all paid media hype.BJP will win most of its seats from MP,Gujarath,Rajastan and Chattisgadh where it is ruling. It is possible that BJP emerges as single largest party in 2014.The wave is what Congress got when more than required majority was given to them in the elections.Let BJP get 272 seats. Then it can be safely said that Voters wanted BJP to rule. For the time being the secular parties lead by Congress are leading. You and your friends should understand by the various disagree counts posted for your comments in this news portal that you are the minority.

'THE ALMIGHTY'> With some help from CBI, this is what the congis think they are.
With all these media trial's/CBI/SIT/Supreme court, they haven't got a milli-gram of evidence against Mr.Modi.
Now AAP wants 23500 SITs to probe all riots since independence if his party forms govt at center. The irony of his not believing the SIT that probed 2002 riots and the absurdity of his promise aside, at least 'Secular Samaj' admits that there were TWENTY THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE other riots than Gujarat 2002. And who were the CMs/PM's then?

    Hi N.M, Mangalore...

Good points. Appreciated. I too added some to your points. Kindly go through.

    1. Lokayukta is not required for Gujarat because paid journalists, UPA government & all his detractors are watching him & his government 24X7. Then why to pay Lokayukta from tax payers money?

    2. Fully agree with you that accused person like Yeddy should not have been taken in. I think Modi's definition of corruption is a person should be convicted (like Lalu Yadav). If Yeddy is convicted by court, Modi should kick him out within seconds.

    3. Dynasty politics will be there in India for sure, as long as we greedy Indians make wealth for our kids. But they are all small level. What we are talking here is the highest position of India (Prime Minister) should not be under dynasty politics, as Prime Minister is the face of the country. Not Chief Minister, MP, or MLAs.

    4. Having anger on someone does not mean dividing the country. Andhra divided but both are in India. The problem here is Muslim League, which actually divided the country is partner of Congress.

    5. In the history of India, the 2002 riots in Gujarat is controlled in a more efficient way & in a very short time compared to others. Moreover the control is so superb that from last 12 years no riots in that state...!! This is quality work.

    6. Chai selling issue is not being raised by Modi. It is raised by Mani Shankar Aiyar of congress. Modi is only defending Aiyar's statement, thereby giving due respect to Aiyar.

Lastly, I think you wanted to tell something about MK Gandhi. But, it gave a different meaning as if you hate MK Gandhi.

    @ RBSR,
Wrong, Gujarat government failed to control infact he covertly supported the riots. For example: Haresh Bhatt, BJP MLA and the national co-coordinator of the Bajrang Dal in 2002 stated that Chief Minister had given them a free hand the they could do whatever they wanted for three days. After that, Bhatt had said in the sting that “He asked us to stop and everything came to a halt.”

So, please stop twisting facts, He had indeed authorized the attacks and provided back up support to the rioters.

The original Muslim League party which was involved in partition was dissolved.
The current IUML (Indian Union Muslim League) has nothing to do with partition.

Prakash Singh Badal current CM of Punjab and one time supporter of a separate nation of Khalistan has the support of the BJP for his party the Akali Dal. How nationalist is that ?
What about the Shiv Sena who in the past (way back) had a campaign to drive out South Indians (including Udupi hoteliers) under the slogan 'Lungi Hatao' and who are currently involved in persecuting and harassing poor North Indian workers in Mumbai. This party also receives BJP support. How nationalist is that ?

    1. Talks big about corruption, but doesn't appoint lokayukta in his state for 10 yrs and when the
pressure was mounting appoints a toothless lokayukta.
    2. Says he is tough on corruption, but campaigns for corrupt bjp govts in some states and brings yeddi back into the party.
3.Says congress practices dynasty politics, but is silent on menaka gandhi, varun gandhi and other families in bjp and thackerey dynasty politics.
4.Says congress is dividing people and nation, but goes into an alliance with shiv sena which is
    against north Indians.
    5. Says he will defend the country if he becomes PM, but couldn't control a small town from a tiny mob in his state during 2002 riots.
    6. Says Rahul is using the emotional card for votes but feku himself uses patna blast and "tea seller " tag as an emotional card.

Lastly, A Fool who calls the father of this great nation as
MOHANLAL karamchand gandhi , wants to become the P.M this nation.

@ KR Prabhu - Modi has neither been tried nor been exonerated, for his role in the violence in Gujarat in 2002. The legal argument to date has centered on WHETHER HE SHOULD STAND FOR TRIAL.

A Special Investigation Team appointed by the Supreme Court questioned Modi in 2010 during which he lied or claimed he could not recollect events.

In the report legal experts noticed a large number of logical and factual errors in its report, choices to ignore certain strands of evidence the SIT also chose to ignore parts of its mandate.

SO, please understand that MODI hasn't yet faced the law in full force.

When I read this article I remember Venkaih Naidu during the election of 2004, he used to talk in the same language as modi talks today, after the election results till date I have hardly seen him in the news.Of course once immediately after the results ,it was hard to identify him as he was in the bald head. I wish modi won't repeat it.

This man is all Hype than reality!
There is a saying "History Repeats Itself"
In 1977 Congress got wiped out, but bounced back in 1980.
In 1985 opposition got almost wiped out, but after 1990 they got back.
Same way BJP got wiped out in 2004 & 2009 but have bounced back.
Same way Congress will get lower seats this time & will bounce back in 2019, because of BJP's misrule & SINS as well.
Let him point out others SINS if only he is SINLESS or Spineless to acknowledge his sins.

BJP almost wiped out of Karnataka because of their sins........ Mr. Narendra Modi is sharing his party's experience in Karnataka. Instead of telling the public what he is going to do for Karnataka he blames Congress............

    Wilfred..

It's wrong conception on your part..
Karnataka itself is cradle of BJP...
Any time it's going to swing back...without much trouble..
Karnatka will be in into flash after winning more than eighteen plus seats..!!
Agreed in Daiji World it's different story..who cares..!!
    Don't depend upon likes..much..!!!

    Dear Mr.Bollu, Mangalore.
Am not against or for any political party. Just expected Mr. Modi to give matured speech with his vision for Karnataka. He was projected as future PM of India by BJP.
