Kundapur, Feb 28: To celebrate the golden jubilee year of Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) and Bajrang Dal unit of Koteshwar Vishwa Hindu Parishat, ‘Hindu Samajotsava’ is being organized at Koteshwar on Sunday March 2. As a prelude to this event, a motor bike rally was taken out on the evening of Thursday February 27.
The rally was flagged off by M Prabhakar Shetty, president of Koteshwar Lord Kotilingeshwara Temple managing committee and president of the VHP unit, in front of this temple.
Addressing the participants and gathering on the occasion, Subrahmanya Holla, member of VHP Karnataka southern provincial executive committee, exhorted the people to showcase the strength of Hindu community through programmes like this, as a fitting reply to those who denounce Hinduism. Noting that this bike rally was a huge success, he said that the people should show their unity by coming together in large numbers for the proposed Hindu Samajotsava.
The rally moved through the national highway on Beejady, Koravadi Cross, Halavalli and Kundapur route, before reaching Kurukshetra ground in Koteshwar, where Samajotsava is scheduled to be organized.
