Bangalore, Feb 28: The political enthusiasts among our readers might well be aware of Sandalwood actor C P Yogeshwar about whom daijiworld had a carried a news just before Karnataka Assembly election, when he was getting set to contest his 7th election with 4th symbol. The mere variety in his changing political affiliations was enough to earn him the tag of 'Jumping Jack'.
Fortunately, he won the last Karnataka Assembly election under Samajwadi Party symbol (cycle), under the leadership of UP's SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Now, CP Yogeshwar is all set to puncture his own cycle, and has made all arrangements to hop back into the ruling Congress party under the leadership of Siddaramaiah.
The only MLA from Samajwadi Party in Karnataka, Yogeshwar will soon join Congress officially in the presence of CM Siddu and party president Dr Parameshwar.
Earlier JD(S) was trying to pull C P Yogeshwar by offering him a ticket from Bangalore Rural, but energy minister D K Shivkumar and his brother D K Suresh both managed to convince Yogeshwar to join Congress as Samajwadi Party has no great future in Karnataka.
The process of CPY's re-entry into Congress is almost over, with Karnataka leaders already approving the move. The party is now awaiting the green signal from Sonia Gandhi, chief of Indian National Congress.
But of course, the deal has come with certain terms and conditions. C P Yogeshwar has reportedly placed two demands, first one being more grant to his assembly constituency Channapatna from the state government, and second, ticket from the Congress party in the next assembly elections, probably after four years. Going by Yogeshwar's political chart, the second demand seems to be a long shot!
