Udupi: Case of missing boy remains unresolved - Police, family clueless

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Feb 27: The incident in which five-year-old Naveen, son of Asha and Nagaraj couple from Dharmashree Colony from Pamboor near Kaup went missing all of a sudden, has baffled the boy’s family, the police, and the people living in the neighbourhood alike. There is no trace or information about the boy, who mysteriously went missing within seconds of leaving home.

The police, family, and people from the village have been conducting searches at various places and making enquiries about the boy, but none of them have been able to get any leads about the boy since the last three days.

The grieving parents of the boy are slipping into mental wreck with each passing day, and eerie silence has enveloped Dharmashree Colony. Several people from the neighbourhood have even stopped going out for work, and have engaged themselves either in searching for the boy or providing solace to the parents by extending moral support.

Naveen's grandparents have arrived from Tamil Nadu. Their cries at the sudden catastrophe the family has faced, have added to the agony of the boy’s parents and others in the colony. The people of the colony came together again on Wednesday February 26, and put pressure on the police to intensify their search for the missing boy.

Very shocking news, but a warning to idiot parents for their negligence. Parents have to take care of their children when they out anywhere. I have so many incidents at many places. In Mumbai, may be at Mankurd a small boy was playing or running, fell in a manhole/drainage open hole. Mother was watching from the window far away and shouted desperately and ran away. Everybody searched, father also searched but could not find the boy. He was floated in dirty water forever. Same thing happened in many swimming pools.

Reading the state of the parents anybody's heart will pain!! Probably this is the first of such kidnapping case of a toddler in rural Mangalore which till some time back was a very safe and peaceful place!!

Since the child is from a poor background, it is surely a suspected case of human trafficking, which is very much prevalent in metro cities like Mumbai operated by well organized gangs!!

Hope and pray the boy gets back to the parents safe and sound!!

Shirva, Padubelle Pamboor, Moodubelle, comes under Shirva Police Station Zone. Shirva police are Useless. There are number of continuous thefts, burglary took place in the 2013 and Shirva Police and not even one they manage to trace. Go to the books and see how many complaints have been registered and the results. That itself shows how capable Shirva Police are? Shirva police are good only in doing job of RTO during the day, stopping the vehicles and collecting Chai-Pani and nothing else.

Really shocking news.....never happen before, especially in our areas. Police must try hard to trace and find the boy. so other parents are not in fear.
