Mysore, Feb 26: City police commissioner Dr M A Saleem on Tuesday February 25 recommended for transferring the case relating to accusations levelled by former state minister S A Ramdas and Premakumari against each other.
“It is felt that a detailed investigation by the criminal investigation department into the case will unearth the truth, as both Ramdas and Premakumari have levelled charges against each other. Therefore, we have recommended for CID inquiry,” he clarified.
In a case filed in Saraswatipuram police station here, Premakumari has accused Ramdas of promising to marry and then deserting her. A case also stands filed against Premakumari, her mother, and brother, in Kuvempunagar police station here, based on a 14-page statement given by Ramdas.
It may be recalled that Ramdas, dejected by loss of face and the insult he faced by the action of Premakumari in going to the visual media with her version of the relationship with him, had attempted suicide and was hospitalized.
Saleem said CID will commence investigation into the case once it receives government order entrusting the case to it.
