Udupi, Feb 25: The Catholic Board of Education and Family Life Service Centre, Mangalore jointly organized a Value Education Seminar to school teachers today at St. Mary’s College Shirva.
The seminar was inaugurated by Fr Cajetan Menezes, director Family Life Service Centre, Mumbai and speaking on the occasion he said "today the responsibility is more on teachers to inculcate the values among the students. The most important need today is the people with integrity and goodness. Besides the qualification, the consistency of performance of the candidate and his attitude also count a lot for recruitment."
"There is more demand for “good people” in society and elsewhere. Schools should give first place to value education in their time table because most of the times any changes in time table would be made by dropping the value education classes which is a dangerous move," he added.
