Mangalore: Pradeep Barboza's maiden Tulu DVD set for release

Mangalore, Feb 25: Talented and versatile drama director, writer and actor Pradeep Barboza Paladka is all set to create history in the Tulu theatre field. After successfully staging the super hit Konkani drama “Ootre Uzwadlen” witnessed by an audience of more than 2000, he is all set to entertain the TV audience in Tulu with re-baptized “Lakkule Pulyand” in its DVD version.

The two-and-a-half hour non-stop comedy drama has Aravind Bolar playing the main role along with Sundar Rai Mandara (Lakumi Kalavidaru), Vasanth Shetty Thodar, Sathish Amin, Prathik Salian, Rajesh Amin, Chandrahaas Maani, Sharan Kaikamba, Monica (Cha Parka troupe), Vinny Fernandes along with Pradeep Barboza Paladka playing a major role. The music has been provided by Srinath Moodbidri, while William Pinto Padrengi has wonderfully displayed his skills with sound, light and stage setting. TvDaijiworld team led by Narayan has done the video shooting. The entire drama has been edited by Vincent Fernandes Cascia.

Pradeep Barboza himself translated his original Konkani drama with apt screenplay and wonderfully marshalled the resources with his direction.

Multi-talented Pradeep Barboza is well-known in the theatre arena. After successfully establishing himself in his hometown Moodbidri and surrounding areas he has created laughter waves in the UAE and other GCC countries. Through his rib-tickling and meaningful comedy dramas he has won the hearts of people. He is credited with dramas like 'Yer Yeregaad' (Tulu), 'Bhandal Bhaskare' (Tulu), 'Mithabail Santh Mingel Vaado' (Konkani), 'Hasthay Kityak Pishya' (Konkani), 'Saglen Divnchen Thane' (Konkani), 'Sangon Mugdhana' (Konkani), 'Ootre Uzwadlen' (Konkani) and 'Maaka Nangi' (Konkani). 'Maaka Nangi' is his brand new new Konkani drama and will be staged in Dubai soon.

Besides full-length plays Pradeep Barboza has successfully hosted the comedy show for radio listeners in Radio 105.4 FM. He has also exhibited his immense talent in over 75 skits in various Konkani programmes in the UAE and Mangalore. For all his efforts in the drama field Konkan Yuva rightly bestowed him with the title 'Konkani Haasy Kuvar'.
