Weatherman : Light rain, cloudy weather, predicted in coast

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Feb 25: The meteorological department has predicted that the coastal regions of the coast and the southern hinterlands may experience cloudy weather, drop in temperature, coupled with light rain during the next 24 hours. While making this prediction, the department has relied on low air pressure witnessed over Bay of Bengal, said director of the department, Puttanna.

Tamil Nadu has been experiencing rains on account of the drop in air pressure. This has caused a drop in the temperature in Karnataka’s southern hinterland. This will have an easing affect on the temperature during the day in these places, the department added.

“Because of cloudy weather, light drizzle might be experienced in some places. The minimum temperature during the day may experience a drop of one degree. Other than this, north Karnataka and other coastal areas are expected to continue with the present dry weather,” the department predicted.  Drizzle is expected in coast, southern hinterland and some malnad districts on February 26 because of cool wind blowing from the areas affected by drop in air pressure, Puttanna explained.
