Speaking after inaugurating the event, Chakravarthy said three things make a successful engineer—the opportunities available after engineering, what is it that one needs to do as part of one's engineering education, and communication in engineering.
“There are three things that come under opportunities - defence, manufacturing, and service industry. This generation need not worry about the opportunity as all these fields are quite developed and advanced in our nation. The main aspect that you need to follow in order to be a successful engineer are the strong academic fundamentals of engineering education. With regard to communication, you need to build a strong communication channel to be a successful engineer,” he added.
“There are three cycles in learning which you must implement to be successful - read for information, study to understand, and start applying the understanding to gain knowledge,” he added.
In his presidential address, N Vinay Hegde said, “As students, you must focus on ultimate success -ultimate professional success, and ultimate success in career. There are multiple opportunities for engineers and there is no need to worry in this regard.”
“You must have it in mind that you must achieve something and all other things are exceptional in many cases. You must be ready to contribute to your industry, only then can you succeed in your profession and the industries will always be looking for this. Understand yourselves well, only then can you achieve what you desire and be successful. Believe that there is something unique in you and you are special,” he added.
A Sadanand Shetty welcomed the gathering and Savitha proposed the vote of thanks.
