Shirva, Feb 23: The annual day of St Mary’s College, Shirva was held on February 20. Fr Stany Tauro the correspondent of St Mary’s institutions presided over the programme.
Fr Richard Coelho, director of Father Mullers Medical College Hospital Mangalore was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion he said education is the means to develop the hidden talents of the students. Students should involve in the learning process with interest and do hard work without forgetting social responsibility.
The principal of the college prof Rajan V N presented the college report. Prof Ronald Moras introduced the guests. During the programme the rank holder student Divya Kumari of MSW and Mangalore University title winner Rakshith are honoured.
Student Council president Rayan Lynal Monis welcomed the gathering, secretary Joyson Furtado gave the vote of thanks. Student Council Director prof Pascal D’Sa and council joint secretary Supreetha were present. After the formal programme students presented cultural programmes.
