Bantwal: Inflammatory speech - Complaint against Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat

Bantwal, Feb 22: A complaint was registered in Vittal police station on the evening of Friday February 21 against prominent Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader, Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.
Bhat has been accused of delivering an address and trying to flare communal passions by making derogatory references to Quran and Bible.
The complaint was made by Abdulla Nadaje from Manchi in Kolnad village.
Allegedly, Bhat, in his address delivered on February 16 evening, told the gathering that Hinduism happens to be the lone generally acceptable religion of the world, and that India is not home to any other religion. “How can Quran and Bible, which preach slaining of others, can be holy?” he reportedly queried.
Abdulla also complained that Bhat, in the speech delivered at the said function organized to celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda by Salethur Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti, also insulted Muslim community by referring to them as Bearys in a condemnable way.
The police have registered the complaint under sections 153A and 295 of Indian Penal Code, it is learnt.
