MP sold govt land purchased for setting up plant: Kumaraswamy

Bangalore, Feb 20 (PTI): JD(S) Floor Leader H D Kumaraswamy today alleged in the legislative Assembly that industrialist and MP Rajeev Chandrashekhar had sold government land purchased for setting up a plant at Dabaspet in Bangalore Rural district.

"One Rajeev Chandrashekhar, the then BPL company owner, had acquired land through Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board to set up a plant at Dabaspet, but later sold it to private people without fulfilling the purpose for which it was purchased," he said during the debate on budget.

Kumaraswamy said Chandrashekhar had bought 175 acres at the rate of Rs one lakh per acre, but sold it for Rs 1.30 crore per acre.

Demanding a thorough investigation into the matter, he said corporate groups were acquiring farmers' land through government agencies in the name of investments and indulging in real estate business.

"Who has given them the power to sell government land to private people?" he said. Government should shut agencies like KIADB (Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board) which is helping corporates to "grab" farmers land through them. "KIADB should be shut," he said.

He suggested that government give power to farmers to lease their land directly to corporates to establish plants or factories. "It should also fix the amount for the land leased out to them," Kumaraswamy added. Chandrashekhar was not immediately available for comments.

    This is nothing new.
Thousands of Acres of land was allotted to Janardhana Reddy's Brahmani Steels, both by Karnataka & Andhra govts for setting up Steel Plant and he has sold the vacant land for Crores of Rupees and no action was taken against him by both Govts. Ashok Keni of NICE has also done the same, but no action against him also . Why Kumaraswami is not exposing such bigger Cases ?

One (I forgot his name) who worked under Dr. Babu Rajendra Prasad & Nehru told once that the govt never slept during their period. Rajendra Prasad is working till late night and when he was about to sleep Nehru gets up start his work.

See the Pictures now. Even the Governor had no control over sleep.

One more thing I have noticed even in colleges/Offices also is that some people come to college/office to take REST. They have a side business that yields more than the service in colleges/offices.

What would be the situation if Govt doctor feels sleepy in Operation Theatre.
Many accidents are because of driving while sleepy.

I include my old post here. It is a surprise night visit by Health Minister at some Bangalore Hospital

He... He.... Generally everybody sleep at Night. Only those Ministers who have "Kalla" experience won't sleep at night. If they don't have such experience then they also feel sleepy. Those who have shift duty may not be able to sleep at Day due to marriage functions etc should sleep well.

One Driver told me once that "While driving if I feel sleepy at Day or Night I will keep my vehicle at roadside and take a good sleep. I never listen to my boss or even YAMA to drive if I feel sleepy". I really appreciate him.

One thing everybody please keep in mind that SLEEP (Nidradevi) never works as per the Law books or as per any ones order. She is the boss of her own.

    Have a Nice day....
