Dubai, Feb 16: Konkani writer and activist Nanu Marol launched his matrimonial matchmaking website Sairikuncle.com on Saturday, February 15 evening at Winny's Restaurant, Karama.
Walter Nandalike, founder and editor-in-chief of daijiworld.com symbolically launched the website by releasing its home page on the screen.
"Designing a website and launching it is not a difficult task, but maintaining it with a clear vision, and taking forward the mission is a challenging job," said Walter in his address. "Several websites have launched and later quietly disappeared due to lack of commitment and vision. People think that just by launching their website the entire world will see it, but that is not true. One needs to put efforts into reaching out to viewers. If you give good content, people will come back. One needs to build trust among the viewers, only then can a website be successful," he said, while wishing every success to Nanu Marol.
Frank Fernandes, managing director of Mosaco Shipping was the chief guest. He spoke words of encouragement to Nanu Marol and wished that he succeeds in his new venture. "There is no short cut or substitute to success, one has to be hardworking and committed," with these inspiration words he extended his support to Nanu Marol.
Agnel D'Silva Katapady, the guest of honour also spoke on the occasion and wished success to the website.
Earlier, Peter Paul D'Souza led the prayer. Nanu Marol introduced the guests and explained the features of the webiste. He thanked his friends and family members for supporting his long-cherished dream project.
Ronald Nazareth Baindur compered the programme.
