Mangalore: 25,000 students to take part in Modi rally on Feb 18

Mangalore, Feb 15: "BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will visit the city on February 18 for the 'Bharata Gellisi' event. Around 25,000 college students are expected to arrive in a rally to the venue and take active part in the convention," said Chakravarthy Sulibele, mentor, NaMo Brigade.
Addressing media persons here on Saturday, February 15, he said, "Narendra Modi has visited Mangalore earlier, but this time it is special, as he is visiting in the role of a PM candidate of India and he would be speaking on his vision for India.
"There are nearly 350 colleges in the district with nearly 40,000 to 45,000 students who are eligible to vote. Out of these, around 25,000 are expected to arrive at Central Maidan to hear Narendra Modi's speech," he said.
"The students willl gather at TV Raman Pai hall, from where they will proceed to the venue in a grand procession, after lunch. Separate seating arrangements have been made for the students, who will come from different places, and special student identity cards will also be issued to them.
"The unique feature of this programme is that it will focus on the future of the nation and vision for its development, and will not be a political rally. Hence, students have been urged to visit in large numbers, as they are the pillars of our nation," he said.
He further said, "Digitization of voters' list, which is a unique program initiated by the team 'India 272 ', has been done, with NaMo Brigade taking the responsibility of the programme in Karnataka. The entire voters' list of Karnataka has been digitized. An individual has to text his EPIC number to 9945999459. The details of the voting booth, place and other basic information’s will be texted back to the person."
NAMO Brigade founder, Naresh Shenoy was also present on the occasion.
Bhoomi Puja
As part of Narendra Modi’s 'Bharata Gellisi' programme to be held at Central Maidan (Nehru Maidan) on February 18, Bhoomi Puja for the arrangement work was carried out at the venue here on Saturday February 15. BJP leaders, NaMo Brigade activists and well-wishers were present on the occasion.
