Dubai: USWAS gears up for annual 'Shirva Festha Saanz'

Dubai, Feb 11: USWAS-Shirva is all set to stage its ‘Shirva Festha Saanz’ on February 21 at the Al Masah Ball Room of hotel Sheraton Deira, Dubai from 6.30 pm onwards.
 
‘Shirva Festha Saanz’ is an annual event of the association. The proceeds of this event will be utilized for the renovation work of Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva on the occasion of its centenary year celebration.

USWAS, based in the UAE, is a group of dedicated members born in or belonging to the parish Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva, from the Udupi diocese. This well-established Association came into existence on  December 20, 2002 and has consistently rendered selfless service to the society in various fields during the past 11 years. It is a non-profit Association which abides by the motto: ‘Lend a hand not for self, but for each other’.

Driven by its motto, USWAS promotes the well-being of Shirvites living in the UAE, Shirva parish and society, and serves Konkani language and culture. It has been providing financial assistance to the needy for various purposes like education of economically backward children, medical aid, house construction, marriages of poor couples and such other purposes of the community of Shirva and surrounding efficiently through the generous help from its sponsors and well-wishers.The main objective of USWAS is to bring all the Shirva parishioners of UAE together under one umbrella.

USWAS has planned a fun-filled evening of variety entertainment for those who wish to be a part of Festha Saanz 2014. A lavish buffet dinner along with entertaining songs, DJ, skits, games, dance and spot games will fill the evening with enjoyment. It is time to bring in family and friends, and get united on this entertaining evening.

The managing committee of USWAS has invited all the parishioners, well-wishers and friends through this forum for this event. Festha Saanz 2014 is an event open to one and all.
