Bangalore, Feb 10 (DHNS): A sixth standard student allegedly raped a three-year-old girl in Soladevanahalli police station limits on Saturday. According to police, the boy, a resident of Kere Guddadahalli and a neighbour of the victim, took the girl to his house on the “pretext” of teaching her alphabet. His parents, who work as labourers, were away from the house on their job when the incident occurred.
The incident came to light when the girl’s mother noticed that she (the victim) was dull and fatigued after returning home. When she was “convinced” that her daughter had been sexually assaulted, the mother made a complaint to the police.
The Soladevanahalli police took the boy into custody and sent him to the Juvenile Home. The boy often used to take the girl to his house and hence the girl’s parents did not stop him on Saturday. The police said the girl was attending an anganawadi centre near her house. Both the boy and the girl have been subjected to medical tests.
