Mangalore, Feb 8: "Narendra Modi is a day dreamer who thinks he can become the Prime Minister of India by spreading lies. Today, RSS and its Parivar are spreading myths about the development of Gujarat by telling thousands of lies to make one truth. Even Congressmen, advocates, and actors Salman Khan and Ambarish are talking about Modi and his development in Gujarat. This book explains what really has developed in Gujarat. No, there is no development in Gujarat. It is only development of corporate sectors and capitalists. Rural Gujarat, backward castes and Dalits have never been part of the developement," said K N Ashok, state secretary of Komu Souharda Vedike.

He spoke while introducing the second reprint of the book 'Manku Bu(Mo)di - Hitlerra Hejje Jadugalu' by Suresh Bhat Bakrabailu released here on Friday February 7. Former president of Komu Souharda Vedike C N Shetty released the book.

Ashok further said, "There is no electricity in rural Gujarat. Gujarat farmers are facing a number of problems, alcohol is sold in petty shops. Women and children are suffering from malnutrition. Development does not mean only building flyovers, roads and universities. There has been no development of backward class people, Dalits or minorities in Gujarat."

He also said the agenda of 'Hindutva' is different from 'Moditva'. "Development of Gujarat is a lie floated by the RSS and its Parivar. Making Modi as PM is an action plan prepared to preserve Brahminical ideology along with capitalists. The capitalists are being brought by Modi by paying 25,000 dollars to Apco Worldwide marketing agency which plants only positive news about him. Muslims support Modi out of fear. Congress too has a soft corner for Hindutva, as the state government failed to arrest Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat though he made a provocative speech."

Speaking on the subject 'Problems of Republic and Challenges to Democracy' advocate K R Vidhyadhar said, “There is a difference between 'Republic' and 'Democracy'. The concept of republic emerged in Greece. We can also see its existence during time of Buddhism. But during the time of Chandragupta Maurya, Chanakya tried to bring back imperialistic rule through Bramhanical ideology by overthrowing the dynasty of Nandas. Chanakya never liked a republic state and was against it. Democracy should be the will of the people. Any political party which is not secular is a threat to the nation. Constitution should be holier than the scripture of any religion."

G Rajashekar, Suresh Bhat Bakrabail, Ali Hasan and Ismath Pajeer were present.

Ali Hasan welcomed, while Ismath Pajeer compered.

Condolence prayer was offered to Komu Souharda Vedike leader Ananda Kumar.

Recently I read in the newspaper that in Gujarat if the daily income of a person is above 12rs then he is in above poverty line . so can you imagine till what extent he has twisted economy and people say that Gujarat is developed state. if this is the scenario 12 rs being a cutoff line for poverty i guess there are 0 people who is bpl. and one more thing this dislike of those who just want hooliganism , they want to attack on the church , beat girls and they are not concerned about development Anyways none of them are going to earn below 12 rs !!!!

If that is so, they should be called Mangalorean Gujaratis (Indo-American, Anglo-Indian in that line).
They do not actually belong to Gujarat State - they have SETTLED in Karnataka. Only their origin is from Gujarat Area. over 60 years domicile is a long period to still call them Gujaratis.
And about returning to Gujarat to run their business there, I wonder if they will ever do that. They exactly know what Modi's development is all about.

You are right Shankarnaryan, Abu Dhabi/Mangalore. People were settling down in Mangalore for the peaceful existence of all religions. But, during 5 years of dirty rule of BJP, our beloved Mangalore has been totally polluted by jobless, lazy, illiterate goondas of various sena and dal. Due to this even Mangaloreans are living in fear and terror. Despite of this, now innocent people are projecting blood stained person to rule India. Ghor kaliyug hai.

Mr. Rambo has repeatedly lied during numerous rallies that his state is number 1 as far as attracting foreign investment is concerned and that he has been successful to attract investment from within India and abroad.

But sadly, even here Modi has been caught lying. As per actual figures the state is way below Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh.

Now only 'motor mouth' Meenakshi Lekhi can defend him after he is caught red handed.

Anand has rightly said RSV, you better utilse your time and energy for a good cause instead of maligning Modi and company. How much money you got from Rs 500 crore image make over. Give a chance to Modi. There is something in him that can change India, not only developed country but a great modern India. Every all Indians can proudly lift their head and say " Hamara Bharath Mahan. So give 5yrs to him and see the changes. We can count on him. I am sure,a person with great vision will not loot India like others. He would prove India is secular and democratic.

Guys.. If there was no dev in Guj then I don't think a man like Modi cold have secured his seat as a CM for 3 consecutive times. We need a man like Modi to bring our country in par with others. If Rahul has that potential, then let him show it. I guess we have all seen the interview on Times Now the other day, which only revolved on 2 or 3 thing during the entire session for any questions put to him. I can't imagine what would happen if he comes to power. May be he might sell our country off.

It is very hard know but truth is that Komu Souharda Vedike like Associations unite for the cause of ditching own country. If these type of negative people unite our poor people remain poor. Can't you copy Modi's development style to clean Ganga and other rivers like Sabarmati? Making electricity surplus state to attract industries, eco-friendly cities like Surat, Ahmedabad and Vadodara. They are still developing but far ahead than any state in the country. Though it is hard for someone like you still try to be patriotic. Thanks.

Feku is a faker! A news website had stated some time ago that Modi is taking credit for decades-old projects.

According to this leading new site all the big projects in the state including Indian Oil Corporation's Gujarat Refinery at Vadodara, biggest refinery in the public sector, Gujarat State Fertiliser Company, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertiliser Company and Indian Petrochemical Corporation Limited that worked as foundation for industrial revolution in the state and made it country's biggest chemical and petro-chemical hub were conceived and set up decades ago when Modi was nowhere on the political scene of this western Indian state. While Gujarat Refinery's foundation stone was laid by India's first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, GSFC with an annual turnover of Rs. 3000 crore was set up in 1983 and GNFC with an annual turnover of Rs. 2000 crore came into existence in 1986.

It further clarified that even the Narmada dam, Gujarat's lifeline that transformed the face of agriculture ever since its water started reaching agriculturists farm three years ago, was conceived within 10 years after India got independence and its foundation was also laid by Pt Nehru.

When the World Bank put harsh conditions for advancing loan for the project in 1993, the then Chief Minister Chimanbhai Patel publicly d not to take WB loan and floated Narmada ‘Deep Discount Bonds’ to finance the project. He succeeded in it. However, it is only a coincidence that the dam got completed during Modi's rule and he is now taking credit for it. It was again Chimanbhai Patel who had cleared the proposals for Jamnagar-based Reliance Refinery, one of the biggest refineries in the world. Even world class Expressway linking Ahmedabad and Vadodara was conceived and its implementation began during BJP's Keshubhai Patel regime.

    Anand Karkal

Why don't you become a member to fulfill your wishes.
Just saying things is so easy than really putting them in action.

It is difficult for BJP people to believe what they are saying about Modi same as they did not beleive their Karnataka Govt. was involved in so much corruption and busy infighting for power only to make more for themselves than involve in development of Karnataka.
When 3rd CM was installed, then many BJPeans realised what was talked about and voted out the Government. That is because in Karnataka no Government can terrorise the people, as it is done in another State...,to vote for them.
The way they are praising Gujarat's development, it should be a State apart from all other States and in No.1 place.

Within just 3months after coming to power in Karnataka, Yudiyurappa was bosting of development karnataka was never seen in 60years. There was church attacks sponsered by RSS. There was too much of illegal money of Reddy brothers, to accomplish BJP dirty tricks. Why they are connected with Modi and what is the relevance? The answer is simple. Modi did the same in Gujarat and people till today rever him, without even checking the credibility of claims. Modi faired almost like every other CM in different states. Luckily for Karnataka, people were smart and they realized the dangers. Congress is as usual lethargic and lacks idea's, they expect people suffer due to bad governance and embrace them, as there is no better option. If it does not wake up to reality, it will be parties like AAP that will make it sweat for every seat, in near future.
