"Beliye hola medanthaaithu". A teacher should maintain his respect in the Society trustworthy forever. They should see the god in children and should be the well wisher of a student, they should protect the students from such incidents if any. The education department has to answer why this kind of menace is there is schools or colleges. They should strictly warn and punish this kind of culprits immediately.

Counselling also should be for men accused with false cases , allow him to merge with society. Also name and photo of the accused should not be made public , until he is proven guilty. The above case also violation of human rights. If he is framed , how he will survive once out with bail , what about Job?. In india we have lots of rights , juvenile , women , senior citizen , minority. but no such legal clauses for men in the age group 18 to 60 . These people r the bread winners of family and build a nation but have no legal help whatsoever.

Very right... Guilty man should get the harshest punishment, however character assassination of men India is getting very common these days and the sexual harassment allegation is the most easiest way to settle scores

Sexual harassment is a serious problem for students at all educational levels in India. Students in elementary and secondary schools as well as college and universities can be victims of sexual harassment. Many students are scared or too embarrassed to report sexual harassment. Sexual harassment could take place anywhere, at any time, by anyone and in any form. It could happen at public places, school, workplace, even at home. Even age is not concerned. Either a little school girl or a middle aged lady all are same in the eyes of harassers. One of the main reasons that the issue of harassment is not taken seriously in that sexual violence against young girls or woman in India. Sexual harassment anywhere is not acceptable and has to be rooted out of society. Those found guilty can be punished under section 294 and section 509 of IPC.

Where are the culture protecting groups. Other day when it had happened in Shirva, the group had a big banner saying "Aprapta balaki mele anya Komina vyakti inda laigika kirukula the viruddha horata". Now what happened, since he is not from anya komu so no protest. Please see people as criminals and non criminal, not as komu and anya komu.

Nobody knows what lies behind complaint of a girl as sexual harassment. I doubt it as a revenge to ground him for not adhering to somebody's words or for not fulfilling his promise.

Somewhere looks sexual harassment is the easiest way to take revenge on any men. I have seen an episode recently as a couple file similar rape case against the landlord , just to avoid paying outstanding house rents and other amount they have taken from the landlord. After thorough investigation it's proved and the couple gets arrested. But the landlord who was a very gentleman, could not sustain this shame and commits suicide.

So, I agree if the harassment is proved, then strong punishment is recommended. But just keep in mind the stress and shame one may pass through if it's a false aligation. So, unless it's proved please have patience on your comments.

With due respect to the claims of the victim here, there have been increasing number of frivolous cases done for various reasons!!

A remarkable one which was much publicized in newspapers was of a respected family physician with years of excellent service in a posh area of Mumbai was accused of raping by a woman patient and he was put behind bars for many days and had a very tough time getting bail till the DNA testing report came out as negative and he was found innocent! Later it was found that the same was done as a revenge by a group of roadside hawkers who were angered on his taking action against them through the authorities to clear the illegal encroachments!!

One can imagine what a harrowing experience this doc might have had till the time he was cleared, but sure he will have the scars and anxiety of this incident forever!! Jai ho!!

Sexual harassment in India its now new. It has been there since centuries but only now there are rules and people are coming in front to complain. There are some brave souls to come front and are the leaders. Only because of them these kind of people can be caught.
I myself was a victim on 3 occasions as a young boy.
If this has to change there should be stricter laws and punishment.

Accused cannot be guilty unless until proven in court . It become a fashion nowadays to hook men with assault cases at the of a hat. Even intimate conversation or cuddling can land one in jail. Hypocrisy of law us such that any juvenile or girl can use it to settle scores. Even if the incident happened, it can be more of consented one. One can blame the hormones, but man trouble just because the law says so. Courts have to punish girl and also the family if the case turns out to be fake or exaggerated one. Job like teacher , doctor where their interaction with females can b extremely dangerous for men.

Agreed, with the benefit of the doubt to the victim, nowadays it is very easy to take revenge just by giving frivolous complaints and bring a man into deep trouble!! Better men don't get employed in girls/ladies' schools to avoid problems that can ruin their lives!!

That student must be in the age of his daughter. Still, he tried to harass. He should be punished strongly. Gone are the days when students used to look up to the teachers/ headmasters as a source of inspiration and with reverence.
Girls need not feel shy and report any untoward incident to their friends and family lest another might fall prey to the 'sexual perverts'.
