Vivek Shetty Belman's second pencil sketch expo begins in Kuwait

Kuwait, Feb 2: "V’Belman Creations V’Shesh" presented its second art exhibition of pencil sketches on Sunday February 2, at Dar-El CID, Jabriya.
The programme started at 7 pm with a formal welcome and introduction of the exhibition and the guests by compere of the day Jaison Lasrado. The chief guests of the day Sheikh Dr Ebraheem Duaij E Al-Sabah, the governor of Al-Ahmadi and Sunil Jain, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait were welcomed with bouquets.
Sheikh Dr Ebraheem Duaij E Al-Sabah inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon and the guests and visitors had a tour of the exhibition along with the creator Vivek Shetty Belman and Supreeta Shetty who explained the arts to him.
A souvenir was released to mark the event by Sheikh Dr Ebraheem Duaij E Al-Sabah along with Sunil Jain and other dignitories. Sheikh Dr Ebraheem Duaij E Al-Sabah spoke few word appreciating the work of Vivek and also mentioned the bilateral relation between India and Kuwait. He said that both India and Kuwait respect Vivek Shetty's feelings expressed through his Pencil art. Sunil Jain, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait too spoke few words appreciating the art.
As a momento, a piece of Vivek Shetty's artworks were presented to Sheikh Dr Ebraheem Duaij E Al-Sabah, Sunil Jain, Ramesh Khanna (MD, Rays General Trasing & Contracting Co), Khalid Al Mulla and Major General (Retired) Thallab Al Hajri. All the guests marked their comments on guest book wishing good luck to Vivek Shetty and his artwork. Artist Vivek Shetty Belman spoke a few words about his dream and the exhibition. He also thanked all for their support.
The man behind V’ Belman Creations is Vivek Shetty of Nandalike, Belman, who belongs to the 'Kananjar Dodda Mane' family. He works at the office of the governor of Al-Ahmadi.
V' Belman Creations was a result of Shetty's dream to serve, support, and encourage art-based programmes in this part of the world. Shetty is naturally talented in sketching and has not received any formal training in art. He has won many art and drawing competitions in the local Kannadiga associations. 'V'Belman Creations-V'Shesh' promotes pencil sketch art, one of the first across Karnataka, whose work has rarely or never been exhibited in any other places. Vivek Shetty Belman, the creator of V’Shesh had an age old ambition and vision in art and creative activities including event planning, programme management, art, cultural welfare etc.
The exhibition will be open for public from Monday February 3 to Saturday February 8 from 10 am to 8 pm. The entry will be free for the exhibition. A drawing competition for children and adults will be held on Friday February 7 at 5 pm. The contestants need to bring the equipment and organizers will provide the paper.
V’ Belman Creations is planning to support the noble cause of welfare activities for the 'Children with special needs' especially 'Children with learning under the banner of ‘"V’Share". Even though Vivek is well-known in community associations for his talent and active participation, his love toward the art and achievements are new and a surprise for the Mangalorean community in Kuwait. On a lighter side, Supreeta Shetty, wife of Vivek Shetty, when asked about his inspiration for different moods, replied in a humorous way, "When I get wild he starts painting, forgetting everything and his mood becomes cool irrespective of any expression I show." That said, Vivek and Supreeta make a lovely couple with two kids who are Vivek's inspiration, support and advisors in his pencil art.
