Dubai: 'Nirel' tickets released, 95 percent sold out

Dubai, Feb 2: Team 'Nirel' which recently announced the release of their movie in the UAE on Valentine's Day, arranged a function to release the tickets for both the premiere as well as the first show at the party hall in Zamarrodah, Karama, Dubai. The rush for buying tickets was such that around 95% of the tickets were already distributed and the movie is as good as sold out. Only a few tickets for the second show are available as of now, which may soon be sold.

Leaders of all Mangalorean community organizations were invited to grace this function. Chief guest Sarvotham Shetty of Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi, guests of honour Satish Poojary of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, Shailesh Shenoy of Amchigele Samaj, Jeetendra Suvarna of Billawas Dubai and NE, Sudhakar Alva of Nama Tuluveru UAE, Satish Venkataramana of Ganiga Samaj, Vasu Shetty of Gammath Kalavidaru, Ravi Shettigar of Padmashaali UAE, Sandeep Rao of Ramaksatriya, Nithyanand Beskoor of KaDaM, Vincent Fernandes of Mogachi Lahran, Chidanand Poojary of Yaksha Mitraru, Prem Jeeth of Tulu Patherga Tulu Oripaga and Herman Lewis of Radio Spice 105.4 FM were on the dais. 

Other prominent members at the programme included special guest Sudhakar Kudroli from Mangalore, Mohd Younis of Sahebans UAE, Praveen Shetty of Fortune Group of Hotels, Rakesh Malli of Spice and Flavours Restaurant, Yadav Kotian of Mogaveers UAE, Rajendra Pejavar of Vishwakarma Seva Samithi, Alwyn Pinto of Mangalore Konakans, Ramachandra Hegde from Amchigele Samaj, Shekar Shetty of Arab Udupi Group of Hotels, Sunder Shetty of Nihal and Tandoori Restaurant, Abu Dhabi, Mohan Attavar of MAS Technology, Devesh Alva of Woodside and Woodlands Restaurant, Harish Bangera of Dubai Source, Sudhakar Thumbe of Kateel Flowers, Noel Almeida and Remy D'Souza of Konkan Bells, Arthur Pereira, Monica Waldar of Desert Flowers, leaders from Bellevision, Belman Bethkati, Brahmavar parish, Daiji Dubai, Daiji Rang Mandir, Emirates Pangalites, Ferarites, Kanajar, Katapady Konkans, Kemmannu Flowers, Mudarangadi SFX Kootam, Omzoor Dive, Pamboor, Perampalli, Permal Famad Pernal, Puttur Emirates, Shirva parish, Thottam Sakath, Udyavar parish, Vamanjoorians, Kallianpur Milagrians, Karavali Milan, Kasargod Konkans, Konkan Bells, Konkan Yuva, Konkani Charismatic, SMKC, SMMKC, Sharjah, Udentichi Necketra, along with representatives of various media.

Compere Uttam opened the programme in his own style and welcomed and invited the guests on to the dais while briefing on the 'Nirel' project. The guests were honoured with bouquets and music CDs of the movie.  Producer Shodhan Prasad along with co-producer San Poojary welcomed the guests and briefly spoke on how an atmosphere of 'sarvadharma' had been created not only in the star cast of the movie but also among the guests on the dais during the function.  He stressed that let this unity should keep going strong in the UAE and added, "Let us keep the entertainment flowing in this part of the world with this unity."

Lighting of the lamp was done in a traditional way wherein the guests along with Sandhya Shodhan and Ashwini San Poojary did the honours.  On behalf of all the guests on the dais, chief guest Sarvotham Shetty spoke with brilliant humour on the occasion and also applauded the hard work of Nirel team.  He also mentioned that he felt fortunate to be there all through Nirel's journey, from its launch to the releasing of its tickets.  He said he was proud to be part of the Nirel family and extended all support to the team.  While announcing sponsor contribution from Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi and Bunts UAE, he requested other community organisation leaders to extend their support too to Nirel team in their hard work towards promoting Tulu language through cinema.  He mentioned that the team members of Nirel are working professionals and not from business, hence Tuluvas should come forward and extend their fullest support in their efforts to promote Tulu language in whatever way they could.  Soon many associations and individuals promptly confirmed their contributions and support to 'Nirel'.  All the associations and individuals who have contributed will have their names in the title credit of the movie, as confirmed by the producers.

A flashing trailer teaser of the movie was presented along with a video on the making of the movie which was applauded by all the invitees with cheers.  The artistes of the movie were introduced and greeted warmly by the audience.  Another guest, Herman Lewis rendered an inspiring speech in Kannada briefing on the movie and the people behind it.  He too stressed everybody to give this movie a warm welcome as a respect to Tulu language.  On behalf of all the artistes, comedian Deepak Paladka gave a humourous speech recalling his journey with 'Nirel'.

Sarvotham Shetty officially released the movie tickets, distributing the first book to Pravin Shetty of Fortune Group of Hotels.  Later a distribution table was erected in a corner where people crowded to buy and reserve their bookings in advance.  The premier show tickets were soon completely distributed while a few tickets of thesecond show remain to be distributed, as informed by Sandhya and Ashwini who managed the distribution.

Soon after compere Uttam announced the 'cocktails and dinner' and while everybody got engaged with the scumptous dinner, live singing added charm to the atmosphere.  Singers Pramod Kumar, Uttam Menezes, Monica Waldar, Nisha Sequeira and many more entertained the audience with their melodious singing.  The programme ended at around 3.30 am with people dancing their way to joy.

Shodhan Prasad and San Poojary thanked everyone gathered for their active participation and support in making the event successful. They also requested all the invitees to make sure that their friends and families will be in the theatre during the film release. 

The film will be released in Golden Cinema, Bur Dubai on February 14 with two shows at 10 am and 1 pm, followed by evening show in Abu Dhabi which will be announced later.
