Mangalore: Unity Health Complex celebrates 35 years

Mangalore, Jan 26: Unity Health Complex, celebrated the 65th Republic Day and commemorated its 35th year in existence as a Quality Healthcare Services provider in the region, at its modern 250 bed tertiary care facility at Falnir, on the January 26.

Ananthakrishna, non-executive chairman, Karnataka Bank presided over as the chief guest. Dr C P Habeeb Rahman (chairman), Ajmal M Habeeb (managing director) and Ashfaq M.Habeeb (executive director) shared the dais on this great occasion.

Dr C P Habeeb Rahman in his presidential address stated, “Performance excellence and integrity are the key factors that have helped Unity group to maintain its leadership stand for the last 35 years in the region."

Marking the occasion, Ananthakrishna and the leadership team honored nine doctors: Dr K R Shetty, Dr K V Devadiga,  Dr C R Kamath, Dr C R Ballal, Dr P K Usman, Dr Nalini Pai, Dr Krishnamurthy, Dr A V Shetty and Dr Hussain Kunhi, for their service excellence in the field of healthcare in the region. Dr C R Kamath in his response to being honored, said, “Unity is a 5 star hospital without 5 star charges” and wished Dr C.P.Habeeb and his two dynamic sons the very best for the future of Unity Health Complex.

The chief guest, Ananthakrishna, said, “Pursuit of Happiness should be a fundamental right in India”.

He recognized the senior doctors for their ethics in healthcare and respected their ideals as they still remain the pillars of the healthcare domain.

Senior employees of the organization were recognized for their contribution. Sr Jayashree – 35years, Sr Jayamma -  30years and Dinesh, Raman and Chandravathi for completion of 25 years at Unity.

Amina Rahman, the members of the Unity Family, the well-wishers and Unity’s beneficiaries were present on the occasion.
The foundation of Unity Health Complex, a 250 bed tertiary care facility, was laid in 1978.

The hospital’s emphasis and goal is to provide compassionate, ethical, accessible and high quality care that meets the expectations of the clients.

The specialties include Minimally Invasive Surgery, Cardiology & Cardiothoracic Surgery, Orthopaedic & Joint Replacements, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Nephrology & Urology, Oncology & Oncosurgery, Gastroenterology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Maxillofacial Surgery and Critical Care departments.

    Congratulations Dr C P Habeeb Rahman & all at Unity health complex for completing 35 years. If you can remember I was the first receptionist at your hospital. Since I
    got married I had to leave. On this special occasion I pray to God to shower all his
