Tricolour make-up for Republic Day

New Delhi, Jan 21 (IANS): This Republic Day, skip tri-colour clothes and footwear and try make-up using the three colours - saffron, white and green.

Aakriti Kochar, beauty and makeup expert, Oriflame India, puts together a few tricolour make-up looks that one can easily wear in subtle manner, reads a statement.

* All of us wear winged eye liners on a daily basis. Let’s twist it with our choice of eye-liner colour for the cat-eye look on Republic Day. Sport a bright green or amber eye liner and wing it out on the sides. For those who do not like too much colour, wear a white eye liner and flick it outwards. White is also the colour that brightens up your face in gloomy winters.

Add lots of mascara to add volume to your lashes. Sport this look without wearing a blush so that eyes are the focus. One can add on to this look by wearing a bright Orange matte lip colour, which is trendy.

* Double the liner or create multiple strokes of the same colour if you want bit of a more splash. If you are creative, then draw a winged black eye liner on top rim and outline it with shimmery white eye liner on top.

* White is the new black so follow it. Pick a frosty white eye shadow and softly blend it on your eye lid. This brightens up your eyes and is also a good way to showcase your patriotism on Republic Day.

Add lots of mascara to give volume to your lashes. Wear a coral gloss on lips and a dewy skin that looks radiant. For the look, if you want a little drama add false lashes to the look.

* For the minimalistic look, just apply white frosty eye shadow on the inner corner of the eyes. This brightens up the eyes and makes it look bigger. Add mascara or black eye liner for giving definition to the eyes.
