Mangalore, Jan 8: The members of the Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DKDCC) submitted a memorandum to the district police commissioner on Wednesday January 8 seeking the arrest of Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat and Chakravarthy Sulibele and further investigation.
RSS leaders Bhat and NAMO Brigade mentor Sulibele have passed defamatory statements against Christians and Muslims in the provocative speech they carried out gave in Gurpur on Sunday January 5. In relation to the complaint received, Section 153 A, 295 A has been imposed on them at Bajpe police station and they must be arrested at the earliest and investigations carried out urged the committee.
These sort of provocative speeches have been affecting communal harmony at a high rate. Bhat, being a leader should have strived for communal peace, but he has been repeating such untoward things again and again. Thus, the district administration should take this seriously and carry out further investigation. Bhat must be charged with the Goonda Act and put behind bars, they said.
Leaders Ibrahim Kodijal, Ivan D’Souza, Mohammed Masood, Kripa Alva, Ashith Pereira, and D M Aslam were present.
