Kundapur, Jan 5: “The governance of the Congress-led UPA government at the center has shattered the confidence of the people. Insecurity has taken over. Confusions on caste, creed, religions and language have been created. The Siddaramaiah led Congress government in the state is following anti people policies,” said MLC and former minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.
He was addressing a BJP rally at Shastri circle here on Saturday January 4. The Mangalore to Byndoor rally is held by BJP as a part of a movement against what they termed as anti-people policies of Congress-led governments at the center and the state.
“Arecanut is a source of income to five lac farmers in the area. It has got prominence in both auspicious and inauspicious occasions. The proposed ban by the government on arecanut is anti-people. We will not let that happen,” he said. “Chinese soldiers have illegally entered nearly 19 kilometers into Indian territory. The government has remained silent in this regard. The country has become insecure with Chinese and Pakistan’s incursions. Prime minister Manmohan Singh has become Maun Singh. Narendra Modi alone can solve the problems. Our aim should be to make Narendra Modi, who has brought revolutionary changes in Gujarat as the prime minister.
"The Congress government at the state has failed to maintain people’s welfare at the state. It has increased the price of gas and burdened the poor and the auto drivers. The abolition of the slaughter of cattle law has increased cattle thefts. There is no protection for cattle. BJP condemns the anti people policies of the government”, he said.
Kishore Kumar, convener of state BJP fishermen association spoke and said that the anti farmer and anti people policies of the Congress government have thrown the lives of poor common people to the streets. The government which should solve the problems of the people creates problems for them. BJP will answer them, he said.
