Mangalore, Dec 26: “The message of Jesus Christ is universal, it is not just related to Christians but to all other communities,” said U T Khadar, state minister for health and family welfare.
He was addressing the Christmas programme and road show organized by the United Christian Association on Wednesday December 25.
“If one imbibes the message of Jesus Christ, then a good nation can be built. We inculcate the contribution, patience, and sacrifices of our seniors. Only our work remains permanent, not our posts. Money should not be our main aim in life. Peace is more important than money,” he said.
Fr Nelson Pinto inaugurated the programme and blessed the occasion. Joseph Crasta, founder of Talapady Snehalaya, was honored on this occasion.
United Christian Association donated Rs 1 lac to Snehalaya and also a year’s supply of ration rice was distributed.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Ivan D’Souza, and K Bhaskar Moily were present.
United Christian Association president Alben Menezes welcomed while Jeevan compered.
