Bangalore, Dec 25: About 400 people from churches in 10 different places came together to celebrate Christmas at the St Peter’s Church in Doddaballapur on December 22 under the banner ''United Christmas Programme.”
For the first time, different Christian denominations and different institutions run by the Christians are coming together to celebrate Christmas in Doddaballapur.
The United Christmas Program was very significant because it signified the need for unity in a divided world.
Each of the churches presented a program on the theme of Christmas. Through songs, carols, dance and skits, the message of unity, love and peace was communicated to the people.
A common prayer was conducted by Fr Mario from St Jude Church, Karahalli. Rev Sudheer from St Paul’s CSI Church gave the Christmas message that only when we have good heart, God’s name will be glorified.
