Dubai, Dec 15 : Every Christmas, a team of enthusiasts from Mangalore in the UAE, who named their group 'Dreamzz', try to fulfil the dreams of others while never dreaming of any profit for themselves. Through the medium of Christmas carol singing, the members have not only been sharing the joy of the season, but aim to help the less fortunate people of the society back home.
"The beautiful season of Christmas is here and once again we Dreamzz are all set to make a small change in the lives of the inmates of St Antony Ashram, Mangalore." says Mamtha D'Souza, one of the lead members in the team.
"Our theme this year is 'Christmas lunch with inmates of St Antony’s Ashram', and we want to see special smiles in the face of inmates of the ashram during this season," she says.
"St Antony’s Ashram has 380 inmates from toddlers to the elderly. This day will surely help us improve our lives and make it worthwhile. A beautiful day which will not only bring happiness and feeling of being loved for the inmates but also a lesson to us to count our blessings and thank the almighty."
"Sponsoring a lunch for them may not be a big thing but most of us will join them, participate in the lunch, spend time with them, and truly share our happiness of the season. That we will give the inmates not only a memorable time, but enormous satisfaction for us too," says Mamtha.
The group has four lead members Mamtha D'Souza, Roshan Fernandes, Cleevan Mendonca and Archiles Fernandes.
Last year Dreamzz colllected the kids toys from people around the UAE and sent them to the less fortunate South African children
To realise this dream, the members visit some of the houses in Dubai during weekends and present Christmas carols. The amount collected will be used for the cause, the Dreamzz members say.
While Dreamzz thanks all those who have supported them for the cause, it once again shares the Christmas carols video produced by the team last year, exclusively for this season.
