Dubai: Bunts UAE hosts vibrant Samoohika Sri Satyanarayana puja

Dubai, Dec 15: Bunts UAE devotionally conducted a vibrant Samoohika Sri Satyanarayana puja at JSS International School, Al Barsha on Friday December 14 from 9 am to 1.30 pm with devotees from Bunts community arriving from various parts of the UAE. Invitees from various communities with their leaders and members also gathered to attain blessings from the Lord Satyanarayana.
The venue witnessed a devotional touch with more than 1000 devotees assembled in one place deeply immersed in hymns and bhajans in praise of the Lord, singing, clapping and enjoying the whole heavenly atmosphere with the smell of lighted incense sticks, lamps, flowers and beating of drums. The decoration of the mantap with flowers and fruits gave a pure temple look.
Purohit Raghu Bhat conducted the puja formalities ably while couples Dhanpal Shetty and Bharathi Dhanpal Shetty, Mahesh Shetty and Hema Shetty, Jayanand Pakkal and Jayalaxmi Pakkal sat on the pedestal to obtain blessings on behalf of the whole community. The puja started with 'Kalasha Prathistapana' and later with other formalities.
President of UAE Bunts Sarvotham Shetty welcomed all the invitees, guests and all the devotees to the puja function and showered them with the blessings of the Lord. A record number of people have contributed to the puja and offered their participation.
Starting with Guru puja, Ganapathi puja, Kalasa puja, Navagraha puja, Satyanarayana Vratha Kalpokthi puja, Bhajan Sankeerthana and then Satyanarayana Katha recitation was ably conducted by the purohit with melodious and devotional bhajans by Sangeetha Shetty and group in between the pujas.
Soon after the 'Katha' recitation was 'Maha Mangalarathi' wherein the devotees offered prayers and obtained blessings from the Lord. They systematically queued up for the 'Theertha Prasada' and proceeded to savor the 'Maha Prasada' which was well arranged and distributed by Devesh Alva of Woodlands Hotel, Sharjah and Shekar Shetty of Sahiba Catering, Ajman in the floor below.
The total puja function was ably conducted by an enthusiastic team comprising Sarvotham Shetty, Ganesh Rai, Sudhakar Alva, Praveen Kumar Shetty, Shekar Shetty, Devesh Alva and the 2013 working committee members comprising couples Kiran Shetty and Saujanya Kiran Shetty, Nishith Alva and Saritha Alva, Praveen Shenava and Gayathri Shenava, Dinesh Shetty and Arathi Shetty, Samarth Shetty and Tripthi Samarth Shetty, Raj Kiran Shetty and Deepa Raj Kiran Shetty, Dhanpal Shetty and Smt. Dhanpal Shetty, Sandesh Shetty and Sunaina Sandesh Shetty and Dr Kiran Kumar Rai and Supriya Kiran Rai.
15th wedding anniversary of Praveen Kumar Shetty couple
Leader Sarvotham Shetty invited the MD of Fortune Group of Hotels, Praveen Kumar Shetty and Roopali Praveen Kumar Shetty on to the dais to congratulate them on their wedding anniversary while Padmashree Dr B R Shetty and his wife honoured and blessed them with bouquet in front of the audience.
'Nirel' Tulu film team felicitated
Sarvotham Shetty also invited all the team members of 'Nirel', the first international Tulu movie on to the dais. The team comprising producer Shodhan Prasad, co-producer San Pujary, hero Anoop, heroines Varuna and Deepthi and other was blessed by Padmashree Dr B R Shetty with flowers and fruits.
The organisers thanked Rajesh Kuthar for the beautiful decoration of the Mantap and all the members of various media for their presence and coverage.
Kateel Flowers, Sudhakar Thumbe put his special flower shop at the entrance of the venue with fresh flowers from Mangalore displayed for sale.
The programme concluded at around 3 pm with all the devotees returning home with blessings and savoring the sumptuous 'Maha Prasada'.
