Mumbai, Dec 10: Wednesday December 11, 2013 (11.12.13) though just another ordinary day in the lives of most people, will become a Very Very Special day for those believe in 'special' days.
It may be recalled that last year 12.12.12 was turned into world 'wedding day' as several thousand couples had chosen to get married on the 'special' day, and many other memorable occasions were scheduled for that day.
This year too, people seem to have gone crazy for this day as in Mumbai alone over 5000 couples are expected to get married on 11.12.13. They want to remember this day for lifelong (off course, only if their marriage turns out successful!). Even in Lucknow over 3000 couples are set to tie the knot on this day.
"This once-in-a-lifetime sequential date has a nice ring about it - the 11th day of the 12th month of the 13th year of the millennium. It deserves to be frozen, feel many expecting parents and those on the threshold of marriage, who've grabbed this coming Wednesday to make it a part of their lives," says a relative of a bride who is getting married on this day.
Apart from weddings, many hospitals have got a number of enquiries from expectant parents for deliveries on this day, and as many as nine deliveries are scheduled for Wednesday at hospitals. "We've scheduled the deliveries this week, depending on the health condition of the mothers. A few are expected to take place on December 11, but we're not pushing for it,'' said Dr Beena Jaysingh, consultant gynaecologist as quoted by TOI.
But noted astrologer Ashok Purohit from Mumbai says it's just like any other day and doesn't bear much importance. "Neither is it auspicious nor inauspicious. It has no special significance as per the Hindu calendar," he says.
