Kasargod: Man from Uduma murdered in Dubai, Rs 10 lac stolen

Kasargod, Dec 8: In a shocking incident, a person from Uduma here was found brutally murdered in Al Rashidiya, Dubai.

The deceased has been identified as Haneef (32), a resident of Uduma.

Rs 10 lac in cash, telephone cards and passports of several people were said to be stolen by the culprits.

The incident took place on Friday December 6, and was recorded in CCTV cameras.

Haneef was working at a restaurant run by a person from Kannur. On Friday, while the other employees in the restaurant left for their homes, Haneef stayed behind. An unidentified person entered the restaurant and dragged Haneef outside, and with the help of two accomplices, killed him before fleeing the spot.

The police have obtained CCTV images of the culprits and hunt is on to find them.

Haneef had been working in the restaurant for the past one-and-a-half years.

    RIP. Why stay away when all are leaving? They should have gone together. Robbers always look for a chance but it is useless, Dubai police will catch them within few days. We have to be very careful in these areas and handling such jobs.

    Just difficult to imagine the shock&pain of his family back home.
