Mangalore: M G Hegde to be honored on Dec 10

Mangalore, Dec 4: “ 'Anavarana', an event in honour of  M G Hegde will be held on Tuesday, December 10 at Town Hall, Mangalore,” said Keshava Hegde, addressing the media at a press meet held in the hotel Woodlands on Wednesday December 4.

He further said that on this occasion M G Hegde will be feclicitated for his achievements in the field of education,  and also three books written by him will be launched on this occasion by various dignitaries namely B Dharmadarshi Harikrishna Punaroor, U T Khadar and Ganesh Rao.

 The event will be inaugurated by Ramanath Rai, B Nagaraj Shetty will preside over the occasion. Dr Thalthaje Vasanth Kumar, Dr P S Yedapadittaya, Dr Aroor Prasad Rao, P C M Kunhi, Harikrishna Bantwal, S S Nayak will also be present.

To add to this an inter school short comedy competitions for primary and high school students will be held from 10 am onwards. As a part of the cultural event, a poetry recitation by Banumathi N Hegde and team will be held from 7:30 pm onwards. A special mime show by the students of MIFT, focusing on Kannada literature and its richness will add color to the occasion.

Abhinandana Samithi-Mangalore a team comprising of various dignitaries has been formed inorder to make this programme a success.

M G Hegde, Darmadarshi Harikrishna Punaroor, S S Nayak, Yogeesh, Manjula Shetty, Suhas, M G Rao, Chandralekha and others were present for the meet.
