Mangalore: Urwa police sub-inspector Manjunath dies at 35

Mangalore, Dec 3: Manjunath K R, sub-inspector of Urwa police station passed away at A J hospital here on Tuesday December 3 following heart attack. He was 35.
Manjunath had been suffering from pancreatic and renal failure and was admitted in A J hospital. On Tuesday he suffered a heart attack.
Manjunath belonged to KPS batch 1996 and had been service for 18 years. Basically hailing from Chikmagalur, he had served in Mangalore north police station, Ullal, and was the SI of mobile forest squad in Dakshina Kannada.
During the regime of former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda, Manjunath was honoured with the CM's medal.
He is survived by his wife and a daughter who is in fourth standard.
IGP (Western Range) Pratap Reddy and other officials paid their last respects.
