Bantwal: Failure in love? Missing teenagers found dead at Pavoor

Bantwal, Nov 25: In a tragic incident, bodies of two teenagers who had gone missing were found on the banks of the Netravati river near Pavoor here on Monday November 25.
The deceased are identified as Shivaraj (18), son of Subba, a resident of Devasyamudoor, and Sumitra(19), daughter of Krishnamoolya, a resident of Panjikallu.
The teenagers, said to be lovers, had gone missing since Saturday November 23.
Shivaraj, employed at Priya Electricals at B C Road, had gone to work on Saturday but did not return home. Sumitra who was working at a lawyer’s office here, had come to the office and left after giving the office keys in the neighbourhood bank. Two separate missing person complaints were lodged in Bantwal police station in this regard.
Their bodies were found on Netravati riverbank at Pavoor under Konaje police limits.
The two were said to be in deep love for some time, and it is suspected that failure in their relationship might have led them to take this drastic step.
A case has been registered in Konaje police station.
