Samajwadi party's Moodbidri unit took out a procession and demonstrated in front of the taluk office, protesting against the anti-people policies of the state and union governments. The protest coincided with the one held by the party at the state-level also.
The Sarvajanik Shani Puja was held at Padu Marnadu near Moodbidri. Former ZP member K P Jagadeesh Adhikari, Jagatpal Alva and Shri Vithal Das Swamiji of Sandipani Math, Kemar were on the dais.
The official website of the Jaycees was launched by Alvas Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva. Entrepreneur and computer-enthusiast Abhijeet and Jaycee office-bearers were present on the occasion.
