Karkala, Apr 10: "We will take a leaf out from Narendra Modi's administration in Gujarat for out coalition government in the state. He has given good governance and he is responsible for the new era in Gujarat," said state BJP president and MP D V Sadanand Gowda.
He was speaking after being felicitated by Karkala taluk unit of BJP on Sunday April 9. It was his first visit to Karkala after taking over as state BJP president last month. Udupi district in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya too was felicitated on the occasion.
"Our vision is building a prosperous Karnataka. However, owing to the coalition nature of the present government, we cannot take out own steps and go in our own direction. But we will try to give maximum attention to those problems, which we often mentioned while we were sitting in the opposition benches," he added.
State medical education, animal husbandry minister Dr V S Acharya said that just because BJP has come to the power, their ideals and vision will not change. "Politics is not for personal gains but for serving people" he opined.
MLA V Sunil Kumar presided over the function. Bola Prabhakar Kamat delivered felicitation speech. BJP district president and Udupi MLA K Raghupati Bhat, Sunitl Kumar Shetty, Maniraj Shetty too spoke on the occasion.
Sadashiv Shetty welcomed the gathering and Ramchandra Nayak delivered the introductory note. Suresh Madival proposed the vote of thanks.
