Kolkata, Nov 18: Actresses Moushumi Chaterjee, Rani Mukherjee, Sushmita Sen, Bipasha Basu and Koel Mullick were all felicitated as the 8-day long Kolkata film festival came to a close by Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee. They were honoured for their contribution to the field of entertainment.
Due to a bomb scare and consequently a delayed flight, Rani Mukherjee was a little late in arriving at the venue but was greeted with thundering applause and cheers nonetheless as she ascended the stage. The five daughters of Bengal who have glittered on the silver screen. All the five expressed their pride for their place of birth and how much they looked up to the Chief Minister of Bengal Mamta Banerjee who is fondly referred to as Didi by her people.
Sushmita Sen said that receiving an award at home was like receiving blessings from one's family while Rani Mukherjee gushed on how much Kolkata had progressed under the leadership of CM Mamta Banerjee.
