Mangalore, Nov 17: In rather an amusing incident, two boys aged 8 years were found walking all the way from Ullal to Mangalore, simply because they wanted to see City Centre mall.
The boys left home without informing their parents. The duo were walking along Talapady K C Road when they were stopped by an auto driver who questioned them and later handed them over to their parents.
The boys are students of class III in an English medium school. They wanted to see City Center and hence left home at 5 pm on Saturday November 16, it is learnt.
Meanwhile, an auto driver identified as Nazir from Mastikatte in Ullal grew suspicious on seeing the little boys all on their own, and stopped and questioned them. They told him that they were walking to City Centre.
The boys had already walked a few kilometres by then. They were later handed over to their parents by the auto driver.
It is said that among the two boys, one had visited City Center earlier with his parents. He wanted to show the mall to his friend and hence they started their journey on foot, it is learnt.
The family members of the two boys were tensed as they had gone missing. They heaved a sigh of relief when the auto driver left them back home. Fortunately, thanks to the alert auto driver, the boys were found before they could get lost or run into trouble.
More amusingly, the innocent boys had left for City Centre with only Rs 3 in their pockets!
