Accordingly, a case has been registered by the Subramanya police against the young man, a resident of Yenekal near Subramanya.
Sunita (23) (name changed) and Nikhil (25) (named changed) were students in an engineering college in Sullia. They developed a friendship and soon fell in love.

Finally, Sunita came to Yenekal and sat in dharna in front of his house. As no male members of the family were present in the house at the time, Nikhil's mother spoke to Sunita and urged her to go home. Disheartened, the girl continued her dharna till night.
At night, the Subramanya police came, with whom Sunita filed a complaint against Nikhil.
