Kundapur, Oct 28: Union minister P Chidambaram on Sunday October 27 afternoon visited Shree Mookambika Temple in Kollur.
The minister landed at Mangalore International Airport from Bangalore and proceeded towards Kollur temple by a private car.
He had asked police officials not to provide any security during his visit and hence no officials were seen during his journey and even inside the temple.
He told media persons he was visiting the temple as an ordinary devotee and asked them not to click his photo.
During his visit, he performed Chandika Yaga and offered special puja. However he declined from addressing the reporters.
Byndoor MLA K Gopal Poojary, managing trustee of the temple, L S Maruti, president K Ramakrishna Adiga, Krishnamoorthy, Dr Atul Kumar Shetty, Jayananda Hobalidara, Srinivasa Kalluraya, temple priest K N Narasimha Adiga, astrologer Padmanabh Sharma, taluk panchayat member Ramesh Ganiga Kollur, and other members were present.
